Title: Maybe We Were Coming All Along
Recipient: giselleslash
Rating: Explicit
Pairings: Arthur/Merlin
Word Count: 22k
Content Notes/Warnings: None
Summary: In retrospect, the "Prince on the Lam in Wales" Christmas headline was not what Arthur had intended.
Author's Notes: Happy holidays, giselleslash!! I took your pretend relationship prompt and as I threw possible reasons for faking a relationship at a wall to see what would stick, this is the idea that came to me and wouldn't go away -- in fact, it just kept growing and took on a life of its own actually. I sincerely hope you enjoy it!

Many, many thanks to all the wonderful people who helped me along: E for her read through at the end, and M for being an awesome beta and definitely saving the world from more than a few rambling paragraphs I tried to pass off as sentences, and C for holding my hand the entire way and letting me throw random ideas out at all times of day and night and just generally listening to me blather with the patience of a saint. And the mods for all their amazing hard work putting this whole thing together! Thank you all! <33
