Title: Art: The Ghost Ship
Recipient: Gilli_ann
Rating: Teen
Pairings: Merlin/Arthur
Medium: Pastel
Words: 1361
Content Notes/Warnings: Merlin/Arthur Pendragon (Merlin) Merlin (Merlin) Arthur Pendragon Ghosts, Flying dutchman, Sea Captain Arthur, Historical and Modern, Sea, Ships Angst with a Happy Ending.
Artist's Notes: I had a lovely time reading through all the wonderful prompts Gilli-ann created (some truly inspired ideas!) and it was hard to choose but ultimately I decided to go with a Ghost story theme. This was the one where the images were most vivid in my head so the myth of the flying dutchman - Merlin style is what I went for and I really hope you like what I have done.
Many thanks to my wonderful word betas and Alby Mangroves for being a fantastic art beta and very supportive and generally hugely talented and brilliant and a massive thank you to the mods for organising this fantastic fest
Summary: 2 pieces of Art to illustrate ‘Ghost Ship’
The Captain of the Flying Dutchman is cursed to sail the oceans for an eternity; never finding port, only other lost souls.
Merlin is a hapless paddleboarder, and a day in the bay goes badly wrong when a strong current sweeps him out to sea. As the light fades Merlin spies a vessel on the horizon and thinks it’s his salvation but as the ship approaches he realises it could be his doom.
