First off, thank you so much for my lovely present! This was a fantastic adventure story!
The way you tied in the traditional legend and the story canon was wonderfully done. I always wondered how Mordred was going to go from peaceful druid boy to Arthur’s undoing. Very cleverly done. Those darn youngins have no respect for elders. Though it makes me wonder if Mordred had an ulterior motive for helping Arthur out besides bringing about his eventual death.
I have to say one of my favorite parts is at the end when Uther confronts Arthur. I loved the whole comparison to a dying flame, and leaving the room like Morgana! Makes me feel bad for Uther … an unfortunate taste of his own medicine.
You hit the nail on the head with one of my hidden kinks of magic!Arthur. That was a wonderful surprise and completely badass.
Thank you for the display of equal power and loyalty between the boys! If only the show would acknowledge that.
