I like hurt/comfort with emphasis on the comfort, bed-sharing due to injury/need for warmth/etc, first times, competent people being competent (badass-warror-king!Arthur and BAMF!Merlin are both faves of mine), subtle power dynamics, and happy endings/UST that resolves happily. Also I have a bulletproof kink for Arthur being either possessive or protective of Merlin. Soul bonding and fuck-or-die are fun, too. I love stories that have Merlin and Arthur on a quest together, working together to save someone/Camelot, adventuring together.
