Poor Merlin! Gorgeous, gorgeous work. Hands...omg, the hands! Merlin's eyes are amazing, the long line of his back, so elegant. Honestly, everything else is exquisitely drawn as well. The colour on the second one is just beautiful, soft & kinda perfect!

Oh, this is amazing. The tears clumping Merlin's bottom eyelash, the shadows beneath his eyes, the furrow between his brow and the set of his mouth show that he is hurt and disappointed and in pain, but his hand coming up to lightly cover Arthur's is a sign of forgiveness

And Arthur's hand, so tenderly cupping Merlin's cheek, and his closed eyes and gentle lips show how high he holds Merlin in his regard, show the reverence and respect he feels for Merlin. It's as though the beating were not Arthur's fault directly, as though maybe Uther had ordered it, and even though Merlin understands this, Arthur still feels that he is at fault and needs to reassure Merlin that he is the most precious thing to him.

I have no idea who you are, mystery artist, but I can't wait to find out. Your lines and colors are perfect, and your vision has such depth.

Oh wow, thank you so much! This is beautiful! I love the tenderness in it. Arthur's closed eyes as he kisses down Merlin's scarred back really speak a lot to his devotion here. Merlin's expression is perfect -- dreamy, but hinting at some of his pain. I really like the details of the shadows under Merlin's eyes and the crease between his eyebrows. They both hint that he's been through a lot. The contrast between Arthur's smooth skin and Merlin's scarred, bruised back is also nice. This is lovely, anon! Thank you so much for the surprise illustration! <3
