Happy endings, though happy for a little angst along the way. Jealous Arthur or Jealous Merlin, coffeeshop/bookshop AUs(an oldie but a goodie), PA- to-Arthur!Merlin, friends to lovers, rimming, piercings, tattoos, prefer stories with most/all of the characters, even if only in minor roles. Tend towards first time fics but established relationship is equally good! Modern royalty and magic in a modern setting. Big fan of holiday fics, particularly Christmas. Protectiveness from either of them towards the other.
Obviously this is just a huge list to pick and choose from, not expecting some poor soul to cram it all into one fic!

Prompts:
1-People always expect Arthur to be jealous, and he is, but Merlin’s the dark horse.
2-Merlin being hired as Arthur’s PA or chauffer or what-have-you, attraction sparks but one or the other is not out.
3-Magical bonding in some way, particularly if not together yet, possibly as a result of Merlin saving Arthur whilst his PA/Chauffeur/other
