In response to the discussion with our artists in the last few days, we have revised the handling of both the hosting and the posting of art in this fest.

Revised process for Artists: Artists will email their finished art and accompanying thumbnail to us by the assigned due date. We will upload the art to merlinholidays.imgur.com. We will send you a link to the location and the date you will be responsible for posting it to AO3*. If AO3 posting is a concern, notify the mods when you submit your art and we'll make arrangements to post on your behalf.

Once the entry is posted to AO3, the thumbnail and the art (under lj-cut) will be posted on

merlin_holidays.

*We will provide an invite code for anyone without an AO3 account.

Attention Artists who are considering signing up for merlin_holidays!

We've heard a number of concerns from artists about our decision to host this fest on A03. We are listening! We're currently trying to determine options that suit everyone while not taking away from the overall benefits to hosting this fest on A03.

What we'd like to understand is what exactly the concerns are for artists who will be signing up for this fest. We know many of you have suggestions on how art should be handled but we'd like to hear from the people who will be directly affected. And that's the artist in this fest.

Please comment on the post below by copying only the statements below which are true for you.
- I am considering signing up for this fest and am fine with the process outlined in the fest rules.
- I am considering signing up for this fest as an artist but I have concerns.
- I do not like A03, and will not be signing up if I have to get an A03 account.
- I am willing to get an A03 account just for this fest, but I'm not happy about it.
- I do not want to have to create an account to host my art just for this fest.
- I would prefer if my art was posted both on LJ and on A03
- I want you to host the art and I will post it on A03 on the date provided.
- I want my art only hosted on LJ

Feel free to add any additional information. We are not looking to argue the pro and cons of the above (we understand that everyone has valid reasons for feeling the way they do) but we need to determine how important these issues are to our artists so that we can establish a plan that will work best for the majority.
